Project Overview
Agricultural Rescue Kitchen (ARK) provides animal products for consumption through the process of cellular agriculture. Cellular agriculture is the process of using cell cultures to create agricultural by-products such as meat, milk, eggs, etc.
-
The Problem
Livestock accounts for 14.5% of global greenhouse gas emissions. As well, with the global population steadily on the rise, more livestock would have to be raised to feed everyone. Resulting in global greenhouse gas emissions numbers rising even further.
-
The Solution
ARK and cellular agriculture would help reduce global greenhouse emissions by creating animal byproducts from cell cultures. The use and consumption of these products could also help reduce the poor living conditions of animals on industrialized farms.
